Norm Williams
President/CEO, Director
Norm Williams took over as CEO of Capton in late 2011 with the vision to build an important company, focusing on a large problem in the hospitality segment. During his distinguished career he has taken several global sales organizations from under $20MM in revenue per year to well over $100MM within a short timeframe, including startup, high-growth and mature hardware, software and services companies. As CEO of Island Data Corporation, a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company he grew revenue sevenfold during his first full year and later engineered a sale to LivePerson (LPSN). Previously Norm was part of the founding sales team at Conner Peripherals, a Fortune 500 company that specialized in small form factor hard disk drives. During his tenure at Conner, the company was recognized as the fastest-growing manufacturing startup in U.S. history, achieving Fortune 500 status in its third year of operation. Prior to Conner, Norm held various positions at Seagate (STX). In addition to his corporate achievements, Norm has been a guest speaker numerous times at Pepperdine University's Graziadio School of Business, EMBA program. He earned his BA degree in Economics from UCLA. He also earned a graduate certificate from the AEA - Stanford University Executive Institute for Management of High Technology Companies. He is married with three children.

As Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Chuck brings over 30 years experience in technology development, from concept through manufacture, for successful, high-growth companies, including Lantronix, Iomega, Aubrey Group. Chuck is responsible for the design and manufacture of our spouts and receivers, and for the system's data security.
Ken Deemer
Director
Ken Deemer is dedicated to helping entrepreneurs achieve their vision. He is a founding partner and former Chairman of Los Angeles Social Venture Partners (www.lasvp.org) a group of business professionals who contribute their time, money, and expertise to promote philanthropy in L.A., and to help nonprofits expand their capacity and effectiveness. The organization currently focuses on organizations addressing education and the environment, and produces the annual Social Innovation Fast Pitch (www.socialinnovationpitch.org), of which he was a co-creator. Mr. Deemer was a co-founder and former Chairman and President of the Tech Coast Angels, (www.techcoastangels.com), one of the largest and most active angel investor groups in the country. He serves as Board President of Environmental Charter Schools (http://www.ecsonline.org), and as Board member and Treasurer of Social Venture Partners International (http://www.svpi.org). He is also a Senior Fellow of the Society and Business Lab at USC. Mr. Deemer is an active private investor with over twenty years of venture capital experience as a General Partner of InterVen Partners, a firm that he co-founded in 1985. He has invested in and served on the boards of numerous public and private companies in technology, manufacturing and specialty retailing. Earlier in his career, he was a co-founder of a direct marketing company, My Favorite Charities, marketing manager of a computer peripherals company and a systems engineer with Hughes Aircraft Company. Mr. Deemer holds BS degrees in Physics and Electrical Engineering from MIT and an MBA, with distinction, from Carnegie-Mellon University. His wife, Candy, is an author and management consultant. They have three sons.
Lee Pillsbury

Leland C. Pillsbury is the Co-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Thayer Lodging Group. Mr. Pillsbury oversees all aspects of Thayer's activities, including its strategy and investment policy, and will be a member of the Investment Committee. Prior to forming Thayer, Mr. Pillsbury founded Grand Heritage Hotels, a manager of historic and unique independent hotels. Mr. Pillsbury joined Marriott Corporation in 1969. During his 20-year tenure at Marriott, he served in a variety of roles including hotel general manager, director of sales and marketing and strategic planning and development. Mr. Pillsbury is a graduate of Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration.

Mr. Docker is a partner in McCormick Barstow, LLP in Fresno, California, concentrating in Business Law. He received a BA degree in Political Science from Stanford University and a JD/MBA from Santa Clara University.
James Ashton

As a turnaround expert and widely published management theorist, James Ashton has twenty years with private equity-owned companies and multiple private-equity firms as an advisor, and is a board Member of multiple companies. His five decades of broad and varied industry experience — including large defense contractors to small, high-growth engineering specialty companies — helps him build value as an executive, advisor and board member.
